I had an early childhood profession, which I later realized was not a genuine profession, at age 16, when my dad was pastoring a church in the Texas Panhandle. I came to realize my lost condition, and I repented and trusted Christ, and got truly born again.
In the next couple of years I didn’t have a thunderbolt call to preach. It was just a growing conviction…
I ended up going to Bible College, and the first couple of weeks there, in Springfield, I met my wife-to-be, Grace Silcox. It became very apparent, if I wasn’t sure of the Lord’s will prior to that I became very confident that the Lord had a plan in me being there. Finally, after a few years, I graduated, we got married and came up here. I’ve been here ever since. It’s been 42 years since we moved to this area…
